Party Pictures!

Buhl Volunteer Fire Department & St. Louis County Sheriff!

Party! Party! Party!

The end for Judy's Baggy Stories for Summer 2006 has come and gone with a PARTY! What a great party we had. We had guests! The Buhl Volunteer Fire Department came with their BIG red Fire Truck. Everyone had a chance to use the firehose and made a nice wet spot on the dry grass. A Sheriff Deputy came and we got to go through the police car and take a good look at the front seat and all of the gadgets! We then sat outside in the Library Yard and had a Picnic! And finally we played games with balloons and when we won (as we all did) we got to go in the library and choose a prize from the Treasure Box! What fun we had!!! The staff at the Library hopes to see all of our kids again later this year when we again enjoy Judy's Baggy Stories!

Good Morning Everyone!!! What a wonderful day for reading inside and out!
The older reading included two stories; The Unbeatable Bread, by Ly Littlefield Hoopes and Olson's Meat Pies, by Peter Cohen and Olof Landstrom. Both great books, with wonderful illustrations, for a little older child. My younger reading group was outside today and I read the following: George's Store by Frank Asch, Pig Pig Gets a Job by David McPhail, The Storekeeper by Tracey Campbell Pearson, Olson's Meat Pies by Peter Cohen and Olof Landstrom, and The Pottery Place by Gail Gibbons.
Next week on July 27, 2006 we will hold our StoryTime Picnic grand finale for the summer!!! We are ending our first storytime series with a picnic for all ages and families, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Bring your own lunch, beverages and dessert will be provided by the library. !!!!!!!THERE WILL BE TWO BIG SURPRISES!!!!!!!
